The HR screening was very well conducted and the process felt organized and professional from the beginning. The second interview was with the hiring manager and followed a structured WHO interview format. The conversation was respectful, clear, and focused on understanding real experience. I also appreciated that feedback was provided immediately after the interview, which showed transparency and consideration for the candidate.

The entire process was weird... The first guy I spoke with was great... and then I met with one of the owners and he wanted to speak about my high school experience for at least 30 minutes (I graduated over 10 years ago). The other person in the room didn't say a word the entire interview, it was very awkward. He would ask a question, I would answer, then he would ask another. There was no back and forth.. it was so dry. It felt like he was trying to be intimidating, but it really just made me not want to work with him. (Which was weird because on the phone he was great.) The next phase was the "writing" portion. They wanted 5 article ideas, me to write a 500-word article, 5 websites that we should write for, 5 more article ideas for each of those websites, and then a marketing funnel for one of the articles. So basically if they asked everyone interviewing to do this, they would have tons of article ideas for free. This didn't sit well with me so I withdrew my application. Any company that asks interviewees to do hours of free work probably isn't a good fit for me.
