      Sales Engineer Interview

      Mar 19, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Leanplum (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2019

      Interview

I applied online and I got an email to set up for a call with the HR. After the interview I was told to wait a couple days and they'll get back to me next week. 2 weeks past I tried to contact them and the office would not pick up or return calls and when I tried the HR rep's number they were very curt and hung up the call on me saying "I really don't have time for this". Initially seemed like a great place to work from their descriptions but the follow-up has been way too negative an experience.

      Sales Engineer Interview

      Apr 26, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Leanplum (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2019

      Interview

Setup call with recruiting team. After that had a call with the hiring manager. The interview process was fine in terms of communication, however, I don't know if the process is as efficient as it could be. For example, after the hiring manager interview, they ask to come on site to meet with the team, after there I believe there is another onsite visit where you'd be asked to present/ demo the product. While this does help in vetting candidates, my concern is that it prolongs the process where other teams usually have the on-site as the final stage. No negative feedback on that process just more of a concern being able to attract talent.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

If you had an AE that scheduled a demo on your calendar 2 weeks ago, but an AE comes to you with a large opportunity and wants to schedule demo on same day/time as previous AE, what would you do?
