I have been working at Leanplum full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

I've been at Leanplum for over 3 years, and just like at any start-up, we've had our share of highs and lows. Sometimes, you grow exceptionally fast, and while on the surface everything seems great, when you dig a bit deeper, you start to realize that what got you that growth was a lot of sheer will/perseverance and luck, and not sustainable and scalable processes. And that's exactly what happened here, which led to those...

    Cons

Already shared as part of the pros above. We've had challenges, like every other startup, and when you're in the midst of one of those low periods in a startup, things can feel very hard, and you usually lose some good people. We're still figuring some things out, but that's part of the start-up journey, and it's very rewarding when you find ways to learn from those lows and turn them into highs.

A lot of experienced new leadership have joined Leanplum and we are already seeing many positive changes! Start up is hard but I am very confident in our strategy and leadership. We are introducing some much needed processes for us to keep growing.

    Cons

I have been working at Leanplum for more than 2 years

    Pros

The great news is every obstacle is in our control as we faced normal typical startup growing pains. Leanplum has up-leveled all the senior talent in the past six months and it shows in the metrics- product, engineering, sales, marketing, revenue, finance, HR, etc. And while those changes may be tough for the OG’s, everyone knows they were the right timely changes. Employees are looking forward to being led by an experienced...

Adolescent years can be confusing. Remember, how cute you were not in your pre-teen years? That’s us right now. We are figuring out who we are. What we stand for, and how to get there all the while solving all sorts of startup challenges. Although a trendy word, culture is important to anyone that joined Leanplum. But cultures change and evolve as they should. And we have to figure out who we are and embrace it. We still...

    Advice to Management

You do a lot of things behind closed doors (as you should), but share with us what those “things” are. How do you arrive to decisions? Why are those decisions important to you? We are here to learn, too. We want to be nurtured. We’d appreciate that.

    Pros

Good company for those that are novice to the role and want to learn.

    Cons

Frustrating for those that are seasoned professionals and want to contribute at their level

    Advice to Management

Respect the complete talents a new team member has to share & be transparent with what is the day to day life at Leanplum. Realize that learning goes both ways.

I have been working at Leanplum full-time for more than a year

    Pros

the culture is very positive, very down to earth, but hard working, smart people who are very respectful of each other. They allow people to bring dogs to work, which is awesome. They provide good food for lunches, they have cool areas to go and hang in at the office where you can sit and work but just get a break from your desk, or just take a brain break to regroup. Casual attire, a very comfortable place to work....

I have been working at Leanplum full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

    - Good core of people that are trying to preserve the culture. - We just shipped a new product that can take market by storm. - Heard good things about the new CRO. - If we focus, 2019 could be amazing.

    Cons

    - Lack of focus. New initiatives are being announced every few weeks but they never get finished. I stopped attending All Hands, it's all just noise. - Not sure who is leading the company. The CEO often introduces ideas by saying he was advised by his coach, or someone he met at some conference or many of the consultants we recently hired. We also hired a lot of new C-level execs, but I don't hear that the ideas come...

    Advice to Management

    - Focus on execution. We have great new product, good marketing for it, we need to focus and sell. - Work harder to retain good people. Nothing is being done to retain top talent and some great people left already.

I have been working at Leanplum full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

There are some great individuals/peers that work at Leanplum.

      Cons

For an organization that preaches the tell-tale idea of "No Politics, " and preaches about a "Karma Culture"... it could not be farther from the truth. The "top" is composed of a bunch of mediocre vindictive supervisors, who lack the ability to lead, and frankly, have no idea how they assumed such roles. Most of all, where it once was a great place to work, watching first-hand the deterioration of the organization over...

have worked for seven companies during my career, but none have I enjoyed more than Leanplum. I have not seen a place where all the people are so nice. I have been working at Leanplum full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

Great to get into the startup world. Has all the nice benefits with gym, food, snacks, and healthcare paid for. If you're willing to put in the time, you can learn a lot from the ground up.

      Cons

Growing pains like some of the more practical reviewers noted already. Be prepared to get your hands dirty and try to fix legacy issues and update to more efficient processes to avoid the hassle of trying to not repeat yourself.

      Advice to Management

You've removed extraneous roles/duties and now you need to start focusing on a few core features of the services. Don't try to do it all, work on making certain parts solid again from the ground up and the rest will follow.
