I applied online. I interviewed at Leeds City Council in Mar 2026
Interview
Asked to complete scenario before the interview, was asked the outcome of this at the beginning of the interview. Asked 5 further questions, these were provided verbally and written. Offered opportunity to expand on answers at the end. Opportunity to ask my own questions at the end. Enquired about the rotations and whether I can put a preference forward. They informed me that the rotation areas listed within the advert were not accurate (falsely advertised).
They called me a couple days later to inform me I scored highly and would have been appointable but they only had one position. I asked for feedback which they agreed to call me back later that day to give. At 16:30 I hadn't heard back so called them and they informed me they were too busy to give feedback that day and asked when they could return the call. I informed them I was flexible over the next week to receive the call, they agreed to be in touch within this time. I did not hear back from them again. This was very disappointing, and I felt left a bad impression of the company. Not following through on commitments is not a good reflection of the companies values.
