      Software Engineer Interview

      Jan 14, 2026
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

      I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Lemon.io in Dec 2025

      Interview

It has an initial interview with recruiter and at some point you have to answer some technical questions. After that I had two more technicla interviews for different tehcnologies. The first one covers System Design, a lot of in-depth questions. The second one also has a lot of questions and a final live coding. But in both interviews it was smooth, like a real conversation. When you didn't know the answer, the interviewer helps you and explain the subject.

      Software Developer Interview

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Lemon.io in Sep 2023

      Interview

Process took about a week. I was able to create profile based on experience and skillset. But when I completed a video introduction round which only had one question, I got rejection email saying my English fluency was not good and there are only US and European clients who won’t understand my english. Just an overview that my 6 years of experience with US/Canadian companies was a waste LOL. They’re simply racist and rejecting candidates if they don’t have a particular accent. There should’ve been atleast a technical test before rejecting.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

what’s the most challenging task you faced in current or previous project and how did you resolve?

Thank you for your feedback! We understand it’s disappointing to not move forward, especially with your experience and background. Our process is quite competitive, and we receive a large number of applications from highly qualified candidates. As a result, we have to focus on selecting the best overall fit, which includes not only technical skills but also strong communication and presentation abilities, as these are key for many of our clients. We truly appreciate the time and effort you put into applying and sharing your experience.
