Manager reached out to me, followed up a few times. Interviewed informally, and formally. Spoke to two other managers in other territories and a technical rep. Interviewed with the VP. I was excited to work for them, and the manager kept stringing me along for months, encouraging me that I was the top candidate. Months passed, they kept beating around the bush without a definite answer. Finally after continuous follow up on my end, I was told somebody else was chosen--somebody with more experience. Why string the candidates along for so long? We don't appreciate being "back up plans." After the lack of communication and outright disregard for my time, I wouldn't even consider working for the company. Off to the competitor I go.
