I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lucid Motors in Mar 2021
Interview
Received an email from manager asking me to provide differences between an EV and VTOL systems, to which I gave correct answers.
I was selected to second round which was HR. HR interview was good. Questions were typical. Questions were about expected salary, relocation, overall experience etc.
I was selected to second round of technical interview (3rd overall round). I was told by the manager that he would zoom screen me about my past projects and my resume experience and general technical questions!!!!
I was surprised during the interview to see that nothing was asked about my previous experience and related to resume. he just wanted to pass his time and asked me only technical questions, which only made sense initially but later did not make any sense!!!!
to add cherry on the cake, the zoom screening/wifi connection from lucid motors side was extremely poor. i always had to request them to repeat the questions.
Overall, I would say that I will never recommend such a crap place to work at. poor management , and these guys dont know how to conduct interviews. these guys don't know how to respect candidate’s time and investment. zero marks !!!!

Question 1
Explain the most important project from your previous work experience
The process is fair. A short HR round and then a few technical rounds. Focused a lot on basic physics and principles. Although the questions may be a little bit difficult, they will lead you and try to assess your ability to solve problems.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lucid Motors (Southfield, MI) in Aug 2024
Interview
They ask technical questions from the very get go. Be prepared to answer stuff like whats PV=nRT mean and more. Recruiter was also kind of in a rush so did not seem to welcoming.
