Send curriculum vitae and interview via Skype and send some supporting documents such as papers, PhD dissertation, and so on. And waited for 1 week and got an offer, and I took it.

Question 1
Just technical things related to previous research based on prepared slides for interview. Questions were focused on practical skills for me.

Interview
Internet application required CV and cover letter. Phone interview, on site interview including seminar before receiving an offer. During the phone interview I received general background research questions from 3 people and more sitting in the background. On site interview included 1:1 with 7 professors/researchers and a 1 hour seminar.

Interview
It was a great experience. I gave a presentation for the whole group. They asked technical questions related to my work and presentation. They also asked specifically about my papers and patents.
I applied for an advertized position and was short listed. I was interviewed on Skype as I was in Europe during that time. After the interview, email confirming my acceptance came and work permit documents were soon dispatached within 2 weeks. It took 1 month after administrative processing at US embassy for J1 visa
