Interview
After submitting an application for a position via manutd.com, I received a phone call from Manchester United's Hospitality Staffing Department and had a telephone interview. After a telephone interview successful candidates are invited to another interview at the stadium. This interview is one on one. This was held between myself and a senior member of staff which took place in one of the VIP boxes. I was asked about my hospitality experience, how I would handle different situations, what I thought would make a good team member. The interview itself was very easy. Manchester United are constantly hiring due to high staff turnover rates (with university students being a major employee base). Hospitality experience is not a requirement but is desirable. Usually at the start of the season July/August/September, Manchester United usually hire people with hospitality experience. However, they aren't so strict later on in the season.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Manchester United (Manchester, England) in Nov 2022
Interview
It was a induction day style interview. This involved us having an intro into the company and also the role we will be doing. We had two dining style exercises that we had to do like setting up an example table and also doing a little wine pouring. It was good. I had a brief interview and I got the job! I worked there for two years

Quick interview with current staff, talking about experiences and job specific questions. Very straightforward and interviewer was friendly and engaging. Following this the offer was made reasonably quickly, extremely efficient process.

Apply with cv online, then you receive a phone interview about your experience, then you have to go to register you details and have another short interview. The questions are easy; most on customer service and leadership competency questions. It's very easy to pass ecspecially if you have precious experience to answer these questions with.
If you impress them, then you are invited for a further VIP screening where they decide if you can wait on their VIP staff.
