Manning Publications interview questions

I was approached by a manning colleague for my online writings. She helped me to send it my book's outline. Within 12 hours it climbed the hierarchy and I got invited to speak to an Associate Publisher. In the invitation I was told that he liked his writings — so it was a surprise to learn in our conversation, that he actually hadn't read any. he just relied on his staffers words. He promised to read all my articles and come back to me. I tracked my articles and was bummed that even after weeks no-one read them. not a single person. So it came as a new surprise that he actually canceled me, saying, that he and others had looked into it very very deeply, but that it wasn't a topic for a book. As I said: I knew, that not a single person had read anything since our call. He simply took me for a fool. At some point I revealed, that I cant pay my rent anymore and am homeless. He described my homelessness as "Adventure living in a tent" — absolute tone deaf for someone who makes a fortune crafting words.
