I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Maximus in Oct 2011
Interview
The interview was pretty laid back. I had attended an information session earlier that day and already knew a little bit about the company, so the interview itself was mainly focused on my background. It was purely behavioral, which I found odd for a consulting firm. Either way, we talked about me for about half an hour then I left.
I applied online. I interviewed at Maximus (Lansing, MI)
Interview
3 rounds of interviews. It was almost all behavioral questions. I would describe this interview as rather easy/manageable. Everyone was very nice and the recruiters were great. They scheduled quick and got back to me within a week.
Met with two Managers and Area manager, went through a sheet of general questions. Had to complete excel proficiency exam prior to the interview. Had the opportunity to meet other employees and ask questions about the position.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Maximus (Reston, VA) in Oct 2018
Interview
Met the head recruiter during a career fair at my school. He talked me into applying to this job vs. the one I was originally interested in because he said it fit my interests better. Head recruiter really nice and friendly. Got an on campus, in person interview that was supposed to last about 45 mins. Interviewer was the most awkward person I had ever met. He ended our interview 15 mins early because he read a clock wrong. It felt like I was interviewing him. He forgot his business cards and wrote his own email address down wrong so I had to get it from the recruiter. However, was called back the next week for an in person office visit in Reston for the final interview. Planning it was hell--they didn't tell me what time my interview was until the day before. Had lunch with another guy interviewing and 2 junior analysts before the actual interview. 3 interviews back-to-back. All were very young and bad at asking questions. No one could tell me what the job does. Its been a month and 2 follow up emails later and they still haven't bothered to send my rejection letter or my reimbursement check. All interviews were behavioral.
