I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at McGill University (Montreal, QC) in Apr 2021
Interview
It was not very daunting. It was based on what skills I have and I explained my previous research experience. There were 4 interviews in total. I was mostly about my research work. I did read about the professor's research work. Thast helped aligning my skills to what he needs for the role.
Pretty standard and exactly as it was described in the internal job posting. No surprises. Talked to the prof and other team members about the project, shared my thoughts. Easy going.

The interview was overall nice and relaxing. It was a fun way to know who I’d be working with. They only wanted to know about me and my skills. That was all I was asked.

The interview process is bit hard. You are good to go as long as you know the subject you are going to research on. In depth knowledge of subject is required for the interview process.
