I recently interviewed with MediaTek for a Software Testing Engineer intern position. The interviewers introduced themselves and made sure I was comfortable before asking for my introduction. They then asked about my project experience, focusing on my involvement, technologies used, and project outcomes. The technical part of the interview covered several areas. They asked questions about linked lists, such as reversing a list, detecting cycles, and performing operations, testing my understanding of data structures and problem-solving skills. There were also questions on basic computer networks, including the OSI model, TCP/IP protocols, and troubleshooting techniques, which assessed my networking knowledge. Additionally, they inquired about operating systems, focusing on process scheduling, memory management, and file systems to evaluate my understanding of OS concepts. Overall, the interview process was structured and comprehensive. The interviewers were professional and courteous, making the experience pleasant. The technical questions were challenging but fair, effectively measuring my knowledge and skills.
