I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Miro (Berlin) in Apr 2024
Interview
Interview was nice and friendly.
1st STEP - HR/recruiter
2nd STEP - technical (90 minutes)
3rd step - S.T.A.R. type of questions
4th step - friendly talk with Head of Cloud
No home assignments - kudos for that one
Questions were strictly relevant to the job description in the job ad. These days this is rare as companies are clueless what exactly they need and they expect you to know topics outside of your area.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Miro (Amsterdam) in Nov 2022
Interview
The interview process was 4 steps: 1. Screening 2. Team Fit 3. Technical 4. Leadership I received super good guidance from the recruiter at all times. I also received feedback about my progress. The technical interview was a Q&A about various systems & infra topics. I prepped about 2-3h for each round so they were relatively easy to get through.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Technical: * How to optimize a Dockerfile * AWS VPC, EC2 theory and best practices
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Miro (Amsterdam) in Nov 2022
Interview
Very warm, and very straightforward. The technical interview was both broad and deep, with a focus on Kubernetes and typical SRE tools. The in-person and non-technical interviews asked questions about *how* I handled problems. I felt during the whole interview process that I could be honest with my feelings and opinions on what makes a good SRE team.

Question 1
Can Kubernetes work with multiple runtimes? And if so, how?
