There was a single interview on zoom, followed by telephone conversations and emailed and texts going back and forth, there was a conditional offer pending background check, after the background check came back clean, a formal offer, acceptance, start date about two weeks later.

I was contacted in response to my application and the attorney (managing partner of the office to which I applied) seemed disorganized. He scheduled the interview and seemed more interested in whether (and who) I knew at the firm. He seemed to only partly listen to my answers. I met with another attorney who told me to make sure I negotiated hard for my salary, the implication being that raises would be miniscule and hard to come by. There was an underlying sense of confusion and I had a negative gut feeling. I accepted an offer, viewing it as a "necessary evil" to get closer to my end goal; my gut feeling was correct.
