      Line Cook Interview

      Aug 1, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Munchery (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2021

      Interview

The interview for the Head Chef position was disappointing. The candidate arrived late without notice, seemed unprepared, and lacked enthusiasm when discussing leadership and kitchen operations. His responses were vague, and he struggled to provide concrete examples of managing a team or maintaining quality under pressure. Overall, he did not demonstrate the level of professionalism, experience, or passion we expect for such a critical role.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked me how I would handle a situation where two line cooks were in conflict during service.
