I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at M·A·C Cosmetics (London, England) in Sep 2017
Interview
I applied via indeed, which directed me to the Estée Lauder site. I submitted my CV and cover letter. It didn't email me to let me know I had to do an online interview but I happened to log in the day the interview was due and saw that they had messaged my account. I did the video interview online and it took 15 minutes. I then waited about 3 weeks before getting an email inviting me for a face to face interview. This was fairly casual and the interviewer was really nice. They got back to me 3 working days later, inviting me to a trade test (where you apply make up to a model that you provide). At the trade test, I met with a more superior manager and she instructed me to do a base and bold lip. I have very limited experience doing make up on others so the manager was constantly showing me new techniques and walking me through it. So the 20 Minutes given to me to do my models foundation was wavered as the manager spent most of the time talking me through the process. I was then given 5 minutes to do a bold lip, which I did in 3, so she showed me how to apply it with a brush.

Question 1
Tell me of a difficult situation you've had with a customer and how you felt with it?
The interview process I found to be smooth and enjoyable. It was a while ago but do remember needing to come back to complete a makeup look on a model (brought a friend) prior to hire as well.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at M·A·C Cosmetics (Bristol, England) in Aug 2023

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at M·A·C Cosmetics (Johannesburg) in Feb 2023
Interview
It began with the submission of an application, which includes a resume or CV and a cover letter, as one of the selected candidates I was invited for video interview. This preliminary interview was conducted by a recruiter or HR representative and aims to assess my communication skills, cultural fit, and basic qualifications. This provided me with an opportunity to ask questions about the company and the role, ensuring mutual interest before moving forward.
The next phase was one on one virtual interviews with hiring managers and team members. These interviews were behavioral, situational, and technical. The behavioral interview focused on my past experiences and how I handled various situations, while situational interviews presented a hypothetical scenario to gauge problem-solving abilities. Technical interview assessed specific skills required for the job, which was through practical tests and problem-solving exercises. Finally, the process concluded with a final interview with higher-level executives and stakeholders to ensure alignment with the company’s vision and values.
