      Recruiting Coordinator Interview

      Apr 17, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate

      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at NIO (San Jose, CA) in Feb 2016

      Interview

I applied through a referral and the process was very quick. I had a phone screen with a recruiter and he was very nice and friendly. There wasn't much information on the website but he was kind enough to share with me about the company culture and goals. They are planning to hire a lot of people by the end of the year. The questions were not very difficult. Basic questions such as "tell me about yourself" and situational questions. I was invited to the in person interview after. For the in person interview I met with the two people. The first person was not very friendly at all. She was very critical and seemed rather uninterested in my answers. She asked me why I wanted to leave my current role and situational questions such as what would I do if a interviewer was running late and a candidate came early. She shared with me that the recruiting experience was very important and is worried I would not be able to handle it since I have not had the high volume of scheduling experience. The person I interviewed with after was nice however he didn't seem to have any real questions ready to ask me. He immediately asked me what questions I had for him. The only question he had asked me was why I wanted to leave my current role. In the end I never heard back from them whether or not I got the role. I emailed the recruiter a week later to follow up to see if there was any news and never received anything. Funny, since they said the recruiting experience was very important but they just ignored me after the process.
