I applied online. I interviewed at Native Rank (Denver, CO)
Interview
Oddly quick interview process for a developer role. No phone screening, first and only interview was an in person interview. There were also no code or technical challenges and hardly any technical questions. My interviewer seemed unprepared for my interview (lack of questions), and even called me by the incorrect name to greet me. If I did not have questions for my interviewer, my interview would have been five minutes long. My interviewer gave me very little eye contact and it was apparent he did not look at any of my work samples I provided prior to the interview (GitHub/portfolio website). I was given an offer at 45k UNDER the average base pay for Web Developers in Denver, which is the number one reason why I declined the offer. Web Developers have a valuable skillset and it is important to work for a company that values their employees, which includes fair compensation. When I tried to negotiate the offer, I was told that my salary was "non negotiable", which is uncommon in this industry. On a positive note, the office space was nice and the employees dressed casual.
