Following that, I interviewed with the VP of Chemistry. The hiring manager then requested that I prepare a slide deck and present it to him. He seemed to really like my presentation and even asked me to share my slides so he could provide feedback in preparation for a panel interview. However, after I sent my slides, all communication stopped. Despite following up, I received no response. Three weeks later, I got a system-generated rejection email. The entire process felt misleading as if they were more interested in stealing ideas and learning my research work rather than genuinely considering me for the role. If you are applying, I recommend exercising caution when sharing your work.
