The selection process begins with document verification, where all academic and eligibility certificates are checked. After this, candidates face an interview conducted by a panel of 5–6 members, including senior officers and esteemed faculty from IIT Bombay, who assess both technical knowledge and overall personality.

The interview started with the panel asking me about my favorite subject. Once I mentioned it, they asked several in-depth conceptual questions related to it. Most of the technical questions were from RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete), SOM (Strength of Materials), and CPM PERT, focusing on my understanding of fundamental principles and practical applications.

For ECE - They mostly focus on electronics part and will ask BTech project for sure. You must be familiar with processes in your project and knowledge of your subjects

They checked my width of knowlede not depth. Asked my favourite subjects but interviewed with different subjects. Candidates are shortlisted for interview via Gate exam. Interview has 100% weightate even if you are last candidate to be called based on gate score, if you perform well, you can be selected.
