Two weeks from initial contact to job offer. Highly communicative throughout the process. First step was a screening call with the hiring manager, then more in-depth call with the Engineering Manager talking about experience and some lighter technical discussion. Final step was a 3h face-to-face: one hour code challenge, one hour of system design/architecture discussion, and one hour for a behavioural/competency interview. The 3 hours were hard and I got a good grilling on my experiences from people who clearly knew what they were doing and what they were looking for. Thankfully, the hiring manager had made it abundantly clear throughout the process what the role was about and what it required so I was able to prepare effectively.
