Applied for a different position but because they couldn’t match my current salary they asked if I wanted to interview for the Account Manager position. Had the interview with one of the Account Managers and somebody else and I also had to prepare a presentation for it. The whole time during my presentation I could see one of the ladies making faces on the camera as if she either didn’t understand or agree with what I was saying. Very unprofessional, no relevant questions or feedback at all… awful experience and a complete waste of my time. You need to invest a little bit in your people and maybe teach them how to conduct proper interviews and be respectful. If you don’t agree with what’s being said, challenge it in a professional manner, don’t frown like a child. Happy I didn’t get the job as it would’ve been a step down and also it would be incredibly difficult to work with people like that.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Nothing relevant or interesting, felt like the interviews were very unprepared
Thank you for your feedback. We prepare carefully for interviews and we're sorry you feel that this didn't come across when we met in November. We wish you all the best in your future roles.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Obelisk Support (Dublin, Dublin) in Jan 2017
Interview
One interview 1 hour very easy. HR staff had no understanding of the role or even there own business. Was the reason i turned down the role bizarre experience and one i would recommend again.
I applied online. I interviewed at Obelisk Support (London, England) in Apr 2016
Interview
Online Myers Briggs personality test, followed by an online psychopath test. I was invited to an interview with the other candidates who had also applied for the role. Our first challenge was the spaghetti challenge to assess team work and our approach to tasks. We were then asked to present our understanding of the business, following be an exercise where we had to conduct some research and present our findings back to the team.
