      IT Interview

      Nov 28, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Holburn, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Octopus (Holburn, England) in Nov 2019

      Interview

Be warned - they fool you into thinking it's just one more interview - 10!!!! Phone interview followed by face to face x 4, including HR, followed by a further 2, followed by a further 4. Make up your minds guys - that's at least two man days effort. What exactly are you gaining - it's not going to prevent you employing time wasters as proven by the process.

Thanks for taking the time to feed back on your interview. We appreciate that our recruitment process is rigorous but feel this is the best way for us to really get to know the applicants. We think it’s important for candidates to have the chance to meet the people they could end up working with, and because each interview focuses on a different aspect of the job role we can be sure that successful candidates are a good fit for the team that they are applying to join. We’re sorry you weren’t successful this time, and wish you the very best for the future.

      Interview

Horrible experience. Interviewers seem detached it was more of a one way conversation . This was the worst interview I've ever experienced. Don't waste your time with this company !!

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Octopus in Mar 2015

      Interview

Worst interview experience I had in my life. HR is a central decision maker in this company and if they don't like you, that will be a final decision, not your manager's or CEO's. They would normally take you through 6-7 stages, some of them are non-sense irrelevant economic and maths tests. You can expect to get a job offer which will be withdrawn later without any explanation and you will not even know about the fact they started looking for another candidate in parallel. If you get an offer from Octopus, keep looking for jobs until you first day with them, as they change their minds.
