Interview
I applied online and the recruiter reached out to me and scheduled the first round of interview. The first round was with the hiring manager in the US. She asked me about my experience skills and the kind of situations that I had faced while working as a data engineer & how I was able to navigate through them. It was just an initial screening the I had a proctor led SQL online assessment test. First her asked some questions on SQL like constraints and joins etc that I had to write query for the given problems. The questions looked simple but very tricky. I had difficulty in connecting the question and expected output where I took lot of time. You are given only limited time per question but I couldn't get the desired output & got rejected.

Interview
Wish I would've read the interview reviews before wasting my time. Hiring manager was extremely cold and seemed annoyed to be there. I could tell she already made her mind up about me before I'd spoken a word and was just going through the motions. Complete waste of time.

Asked me about past experiences and had a "brainstorm" session.

Interview
Hiring Manager was late, then asks me to elaborate on my experience relative to the role. As I'm doing so, she cuts me off while responding to her question and then effectively asks the same question multiple times over. It was extremely bizarre, and one of the worst interview experiences I've ever had. Maybe don't have people with 0 people skills perform interviews? Or maybe consider interviewing people in a way that aligns with the posted role? TLDR; Hiring Manager was inordinately rude, and asked repeated questions about dbt and none of the other 6 qualifications on the job req.
