Thorough, standard interview. We'll thought out questions. I really appreciated the investment in the work and everything that's done to make it a great place. This is a good opportunity
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Orbital Technologies (WI) in Oct 2016
Interview
I applied online prior to speaking to them at a UW-Madison career fair. I'm not sure if talking to them did anything, but I was contacted for a phone interview. They were pretty standard interview questions. The person I spoke to said they would refer me to their manager, but warned me that the amount experience I had was less than he had specified. I heard back maybe 2 weeks later, by phone, that the manager had said no.
While I did not get the job, I really appreciated their recruiter's honesty, both about the experience concerns, and with the phone call back at the end. (Most company's aren't ballsy enough to tell you to your face if you didn't get the job; at most its an impersonal stock email (assuming they don't just ignore you forever))

Question 1
tell me about a time you had to delivery bad news
tell me about a time when you weren't an expert on something and had to ask for help

Interview
I applied online using their website. The recruiter reached out to me within 2 days to set up a phone interview within the next week. The phone interview went well apart from the technical glitches with the recruiter's phone. Standard behavioral question i.e. tell me a time. She asked me for a salary requirement and said that they can't pay their engineers more than $60,000. I asked about further steps in the process and she said she'll reach out to me for a phone-interview with the manager. 2 weeks later no response. I sent her a mail but never heard back.
