      Software Engineer Interview

      Jul 11, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at PERSOL

      Interview

Interview was about 45min. Do not apply if you don‘t have N2!! I have N3 and can communicate well. But it is required N2. Even though the interviewer said I should ask if I don‘t understand but it seems like they were not happy I asked too much when I didn‘t understand the question. Questions like: - Why I want to work in Japan? - How do I study Japanaese? - Future Goals - Which programming languages do I have most experience in - Japanese language test

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at PERSOL (Tokyo) in Apr 2025

      Interview

I was late for the interview because I was trying to login using an account but to join you dont need to login to Teams. Thus I was late for 3 mins I explained my situation and apologized in the beginning and the end of the interview. He made the interview hard also with the atmospere, it felt personal. After the interview, he emailed me that I didnt get the job because I was late and I didnt apologize, which is weird because I remembered I apologized twice

      Anonymous employee
      Accra
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

      I interviewed at PERSOL (Accra)

      Interview

It went smoothly - felt calm and prepared throughout. The technical questions landed in my comfort zone, and I managed to explain my past projects clearly. The team seemed friendly and engaged. Got good vibes about the company culture too. Feeling quietly optimistic about moving forward.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The interviewer asked me to describe a complex system as if explaining it to a time traveler from the 1800s who had never seen modern technology. It was a brilliant way to test both technical depth and communication skills - you really have to understand something well to explain cloud computing without relying on modern analogies!
