Interviewed for a Talent Acquisition role at Persol APAC. Despite my proven experience in RPO, contingent, corporate hiring, and leadership roles, the process felt like a random judgment rather than an actual evaluation.
The first panel moved me to the next round, but it’s unclear what kind of evaluation they conducted in the first place. They also seem to misunderstand how RPO works, claiming that a recruiter not performing well cannot be moved out immediately. In reality, if a recruiter is not working or sourcing effectively, the company would not keep them on client-site roles.
The company claims to be APAC-level, yet they couldn’t send a formal call letter. All communication happened over WhatsApp, and the workspace in Chennai is just a tiny 6-seater, despite building itself up as a large organization. Long waiting times, a sudden sourcing test, and no clarity on expectations made it clear that candidate capability wasn’t truly assessed. Asking candidates to come for face-to-face interviews in such an unstructured process is a waste of time and money. The process lacked structure and professionalism.
If you’re considering applying here, be aware that the interview process may not reflect your actual skills or experience.
