      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      May 14, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Parts Town in Apr 2026

      Interview

I applied for this role via LinkedIn and about two weeks later was contacted by one of their recruiters who asked for my availability for a phone screen, and I gave several (five) time slots for a call, silence. A week passed, the dates I gave came and went so I emailed the recruiter following up. Silence. A few days after my follow up I called the phone number in their email signature, got voicemail, left a voicemail. A few minutes later the recruiter emailed me back apologizing that they missed both of my previous messages and offered a time of their own, which I accepted. The screening call itself was fine, and took place on a Monday the recruiter seemed engaged, enthusiastic and satisfied with my answers and said she would get back to me with the date, times and people I would be interviewing with in the next steps of their interview process by the end of the week… And then didn’t. Another week went by after that first screening call, I followed up over email to find out what the next steps were and offered some dates I would be available. Soon after sending that follow up email, recruiter replied saying that the hiring manager and team were all off-site and that she wouldn’t be able to get anything scheduled for yet another week after they returned. I decided to accept another offer.
