First a 1-1 HR interview. Following that a joint interview with CEO and HR. Finally, quick sessions with some department heads. The whole process felt very negative and it was draining for me as an applicant. I was asked very inappropriate questions and felt like my stress levels were being tested in many instances (e.g., the CEO consistently looking at his phone while I was talking, one manager gaslighting me about a detail regarding my education, etc.) I can go on with the examples, unfortunately. Also, the feedback HR has given to me as a reason why they decided not to work with me was something that was so visible in my CV that they could have given me the exact same feedback within 5 minutes into the process. To sum up: The hiring process was designed to maximize the benefit that the company would get, rather than optimizing the benefit to the company and the applicant experience. I felt the need to cry after leaving both face-to-face interviews and I still try to recover.
