It was a very short and informal interview. They asked about my experience with food prep and food safety. Asked how I would handle different customer concerns. Also asked my favorite thing to make. Was interviewed by kitchen manager and assistant manager.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Peoples Food Coopertive in Jul 2015
Interview
I had a phone interview, then an in-person panel interview, then the collective needed to meet to make the final decision. The process of making the final decision ran behind their stated schedule, but they were very caring and considerate throughout and took a genuine interest in my needs. They offered to place my application in the pool for on-call workers.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A shipment of a very popular item just came in and needs unloading, there are long lines at the registers, there's a spill in an aisle, and you see a coworker in the middle of a tense-looking conversation. What do you do?
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Peoples Food Coopertive (Portland, OR) in May 2011
Interview
A phone interview followed by an in person interview. This was an easy process compared to other interviews I have had. Don't overdress for the interview. Flip flops and shorts would suffice.
