Face to face interview with one person. Submitted resume on PHLY website, received call from HR and set up an appointment to meet with the person who was eventually my supervisor.
- Why do you want this job?

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I interviewed at Philadelphia Insurance Companies
This was a 2 step interview. 1st with talent acquisition via phone, 2nd with hiring manager and her manager via zoom. Time it took from application to offer was 6 weeks.
- Why do you want to work here

Anonymous Employee
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Philadelphia Insurance Companies
Three interviews were conducted. Everyone was professional. All three interviews were conducted over teams and took an average of 30 minutes. Each interview was about a week apart and I heard back in one week about an offer.
- Why do you want to work there?

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I interviewed at Philadelphia Insurance Companies
Boring, toxic, non-negotiable. A huge waste of my time. Company clearly is hierarchy based and their culture seems like a joke. Was ghosted after several follow up attempts. Not even a "thank you, but you're not a good fit" rejection email.
- How are you able to handle multitasking and being micromanaged?

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I interviewed at Philadelphia Insurance Companies
Recruiters/talent acquisitions set the tone for the introduction of a company. And mines did just that. From the moment I picked up the phone for what was suppose to be a “phone interview” the guy I spoke with sounded the least interested in his job & the call. He didn’t ask me any questions about myself or experience. In fact the only question he asked me was “do you have any questions for me”. I asked about the interview process and he said he would push my information to the hiring manager to get the process started. That was 2 weeks ago and haven’t heard back since. But regardless I wouldn’t want to move forward with the company as the recruiter already put a bad taste in my mouth. I’ve spoken with numerous of recruiters before who bring energy and enthusiasm to the calls, company & position but this guy didn’t.
- Do you have any questions

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Bala Cynwyd, PA
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Philadelphia Insurance Companies (Bala Cynwyd, PA)
The entire interview process was very lengthy, which happened over 2 months. I was overqualified for the entry level job that I interviewed for. The only reason why I interviewed was because the office was closer to my home. After completing all their requirements, I was rejected even though I had 3 years of underwriting experience, and this was a trainee position. I highly believe there was racial discrimination involved. Therefore, I suggest not to waste your time with these people if you are not white. I interviewed for the Bala Cynwyd branch, which is a white majority office.
- Tell me something about yourself.

Anonymous Employee in Hartford, CT
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Philadelphia Insurance Companies (Hartford, CT) in Sep 2021
Very thorough. Interviewed with senior management for more than 1 1/2 hours via Microsoft Teams video. They inquired about my background and career history. Took a personality test and provided professional references before an offer was extended.
- What questions I had for them about the role.

Anonymous Employee
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Philadelphia Insurance Companies
Had a phone screen with HR, then had a zoom interview with an AVP and a VP. Also had to take a personality test which was interesting. Overall the interviews were really just seeing if I was a good fit for the team.
- Tell me about yourself? What brought you to the insurance industry? Why PHLY?

Anonymous Employee
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Philadelphia Insurance Companies in May 2019
After applying online and submitting my resume, I was notified by a company recruiter I would have a 30 minute phone interview with them, followed by a formal in-person interview with the Regional Area Manager (RAM). Then lastly, a webcam or audio interview with the Regional Area Managers boss.
- How did I handle an irate customer and would I have done anything differently?
- Why should we hire you?

Anonymous Employee in Woodstock, GA
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Philadelphia Insurance Companies (Woodstock, GA) in Apr 2019
Applied online, received email from HR Coordinator about a week later in order to set up initial phone screening with Sr. Recruiter. Had about 45 minute conversation style interview w/ Recruiter and she was very professional & insightful. About a week later I had a video conference interview @ the Alpharetta, GA office w/ a Territory Account Manager out of the home office. Received email to complete Caliper Assessment (took about 1.5 hours) Next, had two more video conference interviews w/ AVP out of CA office & SVP out of PHLY home office. All parties were professional, friendly, and provided expectations & clarity of the role in questions. Was offered position as Account Executive Team lead and accepted pending background verification, drug screen, and minor negotiations related to salary & start date.
- What would you do in your first 90 days at PHLY?
