I submitted a resume and cover letter on Indeed for a PR/communications assistant position. I came in for a first round interview a few days later. It was easy, and I was asked back for second round interviews the next day. It was during the second round that I, along with four other candidates, found out that this was actually a sales position. We had all applied for "different" jobs, but we were all interviewing for basically a door-to-door sales representative position. The online job posting was misleading and did not state what the actual job was. If you are looking to sell products (MVP is currently selling makeup) to people on the streets, in stores and restaurants and everywhere in between, this job is for you. If you are looking for a real marketing/communication/PR position, do not waste your time. I left before the third round of interviews (on the same day as second round), so I did not get an offer. But I probably would have.
