I applied through other source. I interviewed at Pristine
Interview
I was initially contacted via Indeed. Kyle (CEO) told me that he had come across my resume and would love to talk more. Awesome. I contacted him right away and said that I was very interested and would love to know more about the specific position. He replied with "See careers.pristine.io". Weird start. I then told him that I was interested in a specific position and he told me to apply online so that he would have my resume on file. Strange, considering he told me that he had come across my resume on Indeed. Anyway, I obliged. He then contacted me a few days later with an obvious "template" email that started with "So that we don't waste each other's time", and then asked questions such as "Are you willing to move to Austin?", and "Are you willing to work at a startup?". Both of these were strange, seeing as my resume has my Austin home address and lists my Austin-based employer, and also talks about currently working for a startup. He told me if all of that sounded good that I needed to check his availability on his online calendar and schedule my own interview on an upcoming Saturday.
Anyway, I was very unimpressed with the type and level of communication. I know it's a startup, but it sounds like they need an actual recruiter that can spend some time sending inquiries and responses that even halfway inspire the candidate to want to work there.
