I thought it was an interview, but later realized it was just an HR screening call. I wish I new that I was not speaking to someone that was familiar with the position.

They asked me about specific software versions that were irrelevant.
The interview process is fine, met with multiple of their staff, they like to get to know their people which is good. Some offices better than others to work for.
