      Interview

From my experience, a smooth interview process usually starts with an initial screening to understand my background and communication skills. After that, there’s a technical round where I walk through my SQL, SAS, Python, and data analysis experience with real examples. Then comes a panel or hiring manager round focused on problem-solving, teamwork, and how I handle real data scenarios. Finally, there’s an HR discussion about expectations, timelines, and the next step

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

One question they really focused on was how I handle data quality issues. They asked me to explain a real situation where I found mismatches or errors in a dataset and how I fixed them using SQL or Python. I shared an example from Western Alliance where I caught a reconciliation issue in financial data and automated checks to prevent it from happening again. They wanted to see both my technical approach and how I explain things clearly.”
