      Cadet Engineer (Scholarship) Interview

      Apr 22, 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Railcorp in Aug 2011

      Interview

Stock standard application process. Next stage is SHL and psychometric testing. Assessment centre involved a simple written engineering aptitude test, writing a short engineering report and short talk to hr about why you want to work for Railcorp. No phone interviews. Whole thing took ages, from application to offer was almost 4 months.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Written test had a question about calculating how far down a slope a train would roll before stopping. As an electrical engineer, if I hadn't done HSC engineering studies before uni, I probably wouldn't have been able to answer it.
