Hi there, thanks so much for sending through your comments. When we decide to run a reference check, this means we’re likely interested in making an offer. That being said, we make our final offer only once we have collected all feedback from various interviewers, as well as references provided by the candidate and a compilation of other sources. It is possible that, after pulling all of this together, our hiring committee decided not to proceed. Though rare, this does happen from time to time. Unfortunately, we are unable to share further detail as to why we declined to offer the position at the very last stage, as every case is different. Now, our interview process is not without a few flaws, but we are always working to improve our process. Should you want to discuss this further, please feel free to reach out to our HR department. Again, appreciate you taking the time to write in!
