Reagent Chemical interview questions

I was brought in for a total of three separate interviews over the course of nearly a month, with a total of five different people, including the owner of the company. I was later emailed the following: “we will not be offering you the position due to applicants we are considering who have a closer match to the job description”. I feel that if this was the case, it could have been determined much earlier in the process, saving the time and inconvenience.
