I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Recology (Seattle, WA) in Dec 2011
Interview
I spoke with HR after being referred by a previous coworker. It took about 3 days for them to get back to me but once I was contacted it moved fairly quickly. I had 2 interviews, one with the Operations Manager and one with the Call Center Lead. Both were pretty standard, asked about my history, why I would be a good contributor to the company, etc. After the interviews were complete I got a call back from the Call Center Lead telling me that HR would be sending me over an offer letter. The whole process took about 2 weeks.

Most unexpected question was based on my past experience and why I would want to switch my focus on something different.
I applied online. I interviewed at Recology (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2026
Interview
Applied online and was selected for a phone screen. The phone screen consisted of not only basic job-related questions but also a ton of behavioral questions which I did not reasonably prepare for (as usually behavioral questions are left for the Hiring Manager interview). I got confused about a certain question and the interviewer was extremely disrespectful, treated me like I was stupid and just kept repeating herself so I had no choice but to hang up.
