I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Register Tape Network (Durham, NC) in Feb 2020
Interview
Quite lengthy sales interview over a four day period. Two days of extensive HR screening checking compatibility of previous sales background with a one call close and heavy prospecting skills since you generate all your own leads. Talk with Director of sales and sales manager for region. High activity phone calls, 70-90 phone calls per day to businesses around contracted dollar stores or small grocery stores to sell receipt print advertising. MUST memorize script prior to attending three day training class out of town, $50 per week gas money which does not cover all expense, use your own vehicle, may drive two hours one way per day to customers. Overall good people but with such low base pay and confusing commission plan, does not seem like a lucrative sales position for many months or ever.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How many prospecting calls can you make per day and have you ever done a one call close with a one day sales cycle?

Interview
She began the interview asking me if I had outside sales experience, I replied no, and then she condescended "We don't think this position is up your alley." How can she hope to know what is "up my alley" or not? Seeing as she had my resume, and sent me e-mails saying that they were interested and would like for me to complete their questionnaire, would she not had seen that I did not have such experience? It's quite unfortunate that they should waste my day in this way.
