One of the professors at the university recommended the company for an internship, based on previous collaboration with one of the team leads at Rheinmetall Defence. After I submitted my CV and cover letter, I had a face-to-face interview with my future supervisor and another engineer from a different team.

They asked me questions about my studies and fields on interests. They also suggested to read some papers they were reviewing for a potential project.

Angenehmes Online-Vorstellungsgespräch. Die Interviewer waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Man hat sich direkt sehr angekommen gefühlt und es wurde sehr viel wert darauf gelegt, den Kandidaten zu verstehen. Sprich all over eine sehr angenehmen Erfahrung.
The interview consisted of 2 rounds. The first round was an elimination round, used for short listing students for the second round. The interview consisted of some basic fundamental mechanical questions, along with some HR questions. Both interviews being 5-10 minutes long.

I submitted the resume and got the call from HR. Interview process included telephonic interview with HR followed by interview with the manager of Engineering division. I was asked few behavioral questions and was asked about my resume.
