I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Rivian (Phoenix, AZ) in Aug 2021
Interview
It was the most unprofessional interview I've had to date. It was a group interview over Zoom with 5 other candidates and 1 recruit and 1 manager doing the interview. We had 60 seconds to answer each behavioral question; It was awkward and all the candidates were trying to outdo each other. One of the recruiters (Sr. Recruiter for Vehicle and Delivery Operations AZ) was laughing at some of the answers and made sarcastic remarks. At one point she disconnected from the interview for a long time and didn't even apologize when she reconnected to the meeting. The other manager was difficult to hear the entire time over the Zoom call and seemed disgusted every time I talked; possible homophobia. Overall, I'm not sure how they came up with an ethical decision since the recruiter was gone for half of the call and the manager seemed biased.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The majority were behavioral questions and scenarios.
First interview with recruiter included basic questions, about why you are interested in working with Rivian, knowledge of the company and it’s processes and why you would be fit for the position. They provided more detailed information about the position, hours, travel needed, and salary.
Very easy, managers were great, very nice people and make you feel very comfortable. Can be a long process but most definitely worth the wait. Unbelievable work culture and perks are amazing.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rivian in Apr 2022
Interview
The first interview was a phone screen which was conducted with a recruiter. The questions and format consisted of general overview of the company/position, prior knowledge of company, and resume overview. The second interview is a zoom interview with the direct supervisor you would be working alongside.
