I was interviewed very quickly for the role, at first, all seemed very promising. I had a great two interviews, but there was no mention of a salary range (always a red flag), and the job was pumped up to be very important and impactful, and high upcoming workload as they are rapidly expanding.
I was excited and ready to take on the challenge! I had a great click with my soon-to-be manager and she was excited about me too. The next day, I received a copy and pasted email with grammar/spelling mistakes and completely impersonal. That already felt very off to me, after such a great conversation. The offer was a complete lowball and totally inappropriate for someone with years of extremely relevant experience. After rejecting the offer, they increased the offer by 100 euros. It was still approximately 1k less per month than what I have earnt at comparable roles (with less experience at the time). Very disappointing and insulting to be paired with "We believe this offer reflects the value we see in you".
I responded politely that I found this a big shame, and that this was still too low, but I wish them the best with their other candidates and hope success for them with their goals. Never received a response.
