It would be much better if SAP ariba doesnt call people for interview if they dont want to hire. The interviewer who took my interview asked me 2 questions. Internal implementation of Hashmap and ConcurrentHashmap. I told them both. He told me to implement the same. I did it. He asked couple of basic questions which I answered. I got 1 wrong. He then told he is done with the interview. I asked when can I know the feedback. He told wait in the reception. Then HR comes and tells me I havent made it. I dont know about your time, but dont waste others time.

If you see the interview negative experience % for this company in glassdoor, you can guess the state of this pathetic company. My interview for Java technical lead was over in 30-35 mins. Interviewer himself doesnt know anything. On top of that rude and unprofessional behavior. Even if you give 100% hike I will not join this company. As usual, after basic introduction my first question was on exception handling which I answered correctly. Next question was on static method. Answered. Next was implement hashmap from scratch. I took pen and paper and started. I took array to store the elements. He asks me why are you taking array its not required. You idiotic interviewer even the Java JDK uses array internally to store the elements. If you dont know, go and see it. I started to explain why I am taking the array. Then he abruptly cuts me off by saying "Write the code". Even though pissed off finished the code. Then he asked me about concurrent hashmap. I told briefly about it. He told me to implement that from scratch. I was thinking of how to acquire the lock for the segments. I would have taken a minute at maximum, he tells I am done with your interview, do you have any questions. I got to know that he wanted to reject me no matter what. I asked when can i know the feedback. He told me to wait at the reception. HR then called and told that technically I didnt cross their threshold so I can leave. Pathetic, horrible, horrendous, unprofessional experience.
