I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at SBM Management Services
Interview
I was never offered an interview. I applied for the job, a day later someone contacted me via text messaging, asked me if i was still interested in the position, and then sent me a job offer to accept. After this I was requested to preform a background check and drug test. I have no idea if this was legitimate at all and am worried since they have my information from the background check, I did not go for the drug test.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at SBM Management Services (Tipp City, OH) in May 2025
Interview
My interview experience with SBM was extremely unpleasant. The interviewer was shockingly rude, unprofessional, and lacked basic manners or empathy. From the start, the tone was cold and unwelcoming, creating an environment that felt more like an interrogation than a genuine conversation.
What made things worse was the lack of consistency between the job offer and the actual details discussed during the interview. The hours and days were completely different than advertised, and when I asked for clarification, the answers were dismissive and vague. One particularly alarming moment was learning that the company does not allow any form of time off—even for deeply personal matters like the loss of a pet. This kind of rigidity reflects a lack of compassion and understanding that’s unacceptable in today’s workplace.
The overall attitude of the management team appeared strict, stressed, and unorganized. The entire process felt rushed and careless, as if they weren’t truly interested in hiring the right person—just someone to fill the role quickly.
I highly do not recommend pursuing employment with SBM, at least not at this location in Ohio. There’s a reason why this company has poor performance ratings. Save yourself the stress and seek employment elsewhere where respect and decency are valued.

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me if I was alright with no sick days. Especially, for not showing up due to a loss of death of a family member or a loss of a pet. And that if I was alright not being sentimental with pets (deaths).

Interview
It's a waste of time. Their hiring process is beyond disorganized. I know someone who was offered a drug test and clearly passed it and yet never received a call back. The potential employee tried numerous times to get in contact with someone to verify that the results were received and was given the runaround.
As for me I have steady work history and plenty of cleaning experience. I as well called back to follow up on my "interview & application" and NO ONE answered the phone ever.

Question 1
They asked me if I was willing to give up my gov't job for this position. Really? I clearly stated that this was going to be my 2nd job.
