1. Recruiter screen. Talk about specific project and your role in the project. 2. Take home algorithm and React challenge(takes about 30 min). Final was the Virtual onsite with 6-8 people. My first meeting with the Engineering Manager was very hostile. When I was asked to introduce myself and talk about what I am working on, he kept interrupting me mid sentence. The vibe immediately became confrontational. I tried to tone it down but nothing worked the rest of the meeting. He was very rushed and unorganized, kept asking me questions I had already answered. Didn't want to hear any thought process (in a system design talk) he just wanted fast answers. In the end, I asked him "what do you like about working at Safegraph" he talked about the work load and startup environment . Immediate red flags came on when it comes to overworking engineers. Because of the unorganized process of the interview, I had some trouble going back and forth on unrelated topics instead of focusing on a path. In the end he said "Good luck on the rest of your interviews" But then I immediately received a cancellation for the rest of my interviews with them after our meeting ended. Thinking back now, I never had a chance. Decision wasn't based on coding skills.
