Will ask to bring in an obscene amount of models. Wants you to use their next door app to use as your models so they can get new clients thru the door and keep them at the salon even if they don’t hire you. The next step is the manager and the owner well ask you to come in to shadow assist for 5 1/2 to 6 hours and not pay you. You may get tipped out but it’s not even $5 an hour to assist. When I was shadow assisting there was also another shadow assistant that was there for two weeks. None of this means that you’re even in the door and have the job. I believe they don’t wanna pay an assistant so they are using and taking advantage of stylists. The owner is definitely a narcissist and definitely will gaslight you. If you want your time wasted enter feel like crap then apply but I’m sure there are better salons that have a stronger moral compass than this establishment.
