I initially applied for the Content Creator position but I got a call back from them saying they saw me more for this position. This made me happy seeing that it looked like they really read my resume, something I feel a lot of places don’t do. When I had the interview, it was fine and easy. They told me that they’d let me know next steps the following week. Well, next week comes and crickets. I just assumed that I didn’t get it, which I was ok with. It is what it is. Two weeks go by and then I get a message asking me to fill out the job posting form since it wasn’t posted before. This was sent to me on a Thursday evening. I replied back I’m currently on vacation and don’t have my laptop on me to upload my resume but I could when I get back Monday. No response and the job posting was taken down within hours. When I get back from vacation I see it was still not there. Then Friday comes and I get an email saying I didn’t get the job. Okay. Then I get an email saying I did get the job with a link with my username. I log in and all my stuff is there. I assumed maybe they just ported my last resume and info from the first job I applied to and put it in there, since it was all there. However, I noticed that the salary wasn’t listed anywhere. I saw a little bit of the benefits package and it wasn’t as good as my current. I then saw that they wanted me to start in 2 days. All of this was very strange and as I was going to send an email asking about salary, I got another email rescinding the offer. Honestly, I feel like this is just a blessing in disguise. The whole process felt all over the place and the fact a whole page was even made for me shows that they were going to hire me but because I unable to fill out a form the minute they wanted me to tells me all I need to know about this place. I didn’t even commit to anything and they were already demanding my time. I took a look on here about how the specific department I applied for is disorganized and it definitely shows. It seems like other departments are fine, just not this one.
