This is a big miss as you soon realize after joining that you probably asked all relevant questions to the wrong person i.e the client and not your direct employer. Reporting in this organization is two level, with the management of the company and the university you represent so don't base your experience on the client interviews as the client has no authority over your welfare and processes.
